Join VEBA volunteers for a new way of working with the trans community in coordination with Equality Virginia's annual Transgender Information and Empowerment Summit (TIES)!

The TIES 2021 conference and VEBA's accompanying legal clinic will be entirely virtual again this year.

The clinic will assist clients with name change applications, administrative and judicial petitions for gender marker changes, birth certificate corrections, DMV and social security record updates, DD214 updates (military discharge records), and answering related legal questions.

The training webinar, with two hours of anticipated interactive MCLE credit,  will be held live on Wednesday, October 27th from 5 :00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and a recording with live Q&A will be presented again on Saturday, October 30th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Video replays with no CLE credit will be available online for those who are unable to participate in the interactive webinar. Due to changes in Virginia law, all registrants who did not participate in the TIES 2020 training are required to watch the webinar.

Attorneys will work with their clients during the 1 hour client appointment windows on either the evening of October 27th or the afternoon of October 30th following the training sessions. Additional details about clinic operations will be in the training, as well as the confirmation and reminder emails.

Sponsored in part by Williams Mullen and BaryLaw.
